Let Me Go

And after all this time
I still think it’s my fault.
I somehow moved on
but you won’t leave me alone.

You keep popping out of nowhere
like a ghost from the past
ready to haunt me down
and kill me with your poisoned mouth.

I try to run away from
all the places you’ve been,
but I find myself
in the labyrinth you put me in.

I’m caught up in a rain
with no raincoat on
and now I’m afraid
I will catch a cold.
